Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian musician and songwriter. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves by Decca Records was released on May 15th, 2015 receiving rave reviews from both music bloggers as well as the media. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding an instrument in her attic and becoming enthralled by the sound it could produce. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes encouraged her to learn music, not for an income or as a pastime however, as a chance to develop. As a result, she started writing her own music. She acknowledges Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen as well as Bjork as being her influences. When her mother informed her that her music would not just help her get noticed, but also make others see their significance to the world and appreciate what can be done with the songs She decided to start performing publicly. Her mother suggested that she be able to perform her music publicly in order to help people realize their own importance and how they can affect the world. They didn't even know until the age of fourteen. Aurora isn't something she imagined as a child. She claims that she enjoys writing songs. According to her, the songs she creates are her way of feeling any thing.
